The salad had way too many spines in it. The order of cheesy garlic bread had absolutely no garlic taste to it, was such a small portion for $4.95. The bread that came with the meal, which isn't listed on the menu was much better. The manicotti was ok. The shells weren't stuffed like I've had at other Italian restaurants and I'm Italian and picky. I definitely wouldn't eat here again and wouldn't recommend anyone else to do so either!!
All the wait staff and other staff are always so pleasant and asking if we need anything. Just darn nice folks work there

Not an overcrowded place. Usually no wait. They make a good pizza. Service is always very good. Quiet dining room for a date or family or sit in the bar that is a little louder with multiple TVs.

Portions are generous and quite tasty; our waitress was very good. Even though it was Griday night dinner time, we had no problem being dotted. Just wish the bread was crusty and their was a wine available without sulfates.

Pasta is so good!
The water tastes awful! The service is incredibly slow! It was very noisy...couldn't hear the conversation at our table unless we spoke very loudly. Not a pleasant, relaxing dinner out. The food was so-so...wouldn't eat there again given how many other options there are. And the waitress couldn't get the check right! Needless to say, we won't be back.

Galactic has a sports bar side and a dining room There was a special function in the dining room, so we had to eat on the sports bar side. This is not our preference and the review is on the sports bar experience. We do not like the bar atmosphere.
I love that they will substitute grilled fresh veggies for the pasta on the Chicken Piccatta.

service was terrible. She didn't know any of the questions we asked her about the menu. A glass of wine that was half full was $6.00 awful. Bartender never bothered to come out on the floor to help her out and of the 6 table all were drinking alcoholic beverages.Definetly don't care about their customers today anyway.
Close the resteraunt if you have a special event in the bar and you have understaffed

pizza was thin crust but so thin it fell apart. Cheese and sausage was edible not juicy rather dry, Not worth over $10.00.
Galati's has the BEST Italian food in mchenry county! I am very lucky to have it so close to home!

On this occasion a group of 39 people from our neighborhood in Sun City, Huntley held our monthly lunch outing at Galati's. Everyone enjoyed their experience and for most it was a first visit .
Raviolis were good but would be better if they were much less SALTY.
Very slow service, food was awful. Pasta was way too saucy and very watery like it wasn't drained all of the way. Waiter disappeared for a long time and we had excessive wait for bill. We used to eat there more regularly and enjoyed it, but we will not go back.
the wait staff lwt us enjoy the time we had . we were having a social lunch not a rushed one . so she did not hurry us along we took our time and she made sure our food came out the same way. the people in a hurry got theirs quick and we got our in no rush it was perfect

The meals were very tasty and their portion size was large. I enjoyed one of the specials for the evening and it was also exceptional. We will definately be visiting this restaurant again in the future.

we were using all of our accumulated points from a Visa card and decided to redeem them in restaurant credits. If I had known, I would have taken most of them in Galatis. There are no stipulations with this restaurant, $25, off a minimum $35, no day restrictions, by far the best offer. And good food to boot! A total winner.

We've always had a wonderful experience at Galati's except this time one diner was VERY disappointed in his meal. His lasagna was basically sauce and noodles - there was next to no filling. On the other hand the fish fry was delicious.
My friends and I go to Galatti's a couple times a year and I have to say that we were disappointed this time around. My food was great but all three of them ordered the same thing and they were all disappointed. Also our server wasn't very good. Once she brought our food we felt ignored for the rest of the night. I had to flag down a busboy to bring us more water and coffee because I tried three times to get her attention and failed.
We love Galati's! Right in downtown Cary a very short walk from the train. This community would be lost without this amazing Italian restaurant. We had a great experience for our family of 4 with non-traditional Italian options for picky eaters. You can eat big or small at this restaurant. The bread they serve when you sit down is amazing. Traditional Italian items - upscale or mid-level. Great pizza options for quick, on-the-go too!
the server could have been better-never told us the specials, dropped the salad dressing all over the table and then brought napkins for us to clean it up with, never offering

We tried to enjoy our meal in the dinning room, but one of the spanish workers decided it was a good time to talk on the phone, in Spanish. The whole time we were eating. I had a horrible headache by the time we left.

My portion was normal; however, my daughter had a smaller portion than we have become used to having at Galati's restaurant.

The server was proactive on the size of the veal and had another cooked to make it look appropriate. Then dessert time came and he came back empty handed and said..no choclate cake..he felt bad....

We went on a weekday and were 1 of 2 partys there. The food was good....the salad was very fresh with cucumbers and tomato sections, the chicken marsala was very good with a huge plate of fresh veggies. One member had a spinach/cheese dish which they said was very good. Another member had a meatball sandwhich that was HUGE, and the lasagne was abundant and flavorful. We had fried mushrooms and bruchetta, which were both excellent. Our main issue was that one party member was rushed, by the ancillary staff, to remove their plate when they were eating slowly. Several attempts were made , which was disconcerting because they didn't have anyone else to service. The owner/manager came to the table and said we could not use the R.com coupon because it was for "dinner only". I had called the day before and asked about that as we were coming from quite a distance. The person I spoke with said it would be "OK, if more than $45 was spent. The gentleman finally agreed to give us the discount but it made us uncomfortable having to deal with that issue when our guests were present.
We have dined there a number of times before and have found the experience to be excellent.

The service was good. But the chicken and vegetable dish was served very cold. the butter would not even melt on the vegetables. We just ate it because it was so late.
We ate in the bar and our server was outstanding. I find the dinning room to dark. The food however, is consistently good. More seafood items would be nice. The owner or manager was very plesant and we caught him and the bartender eating takeout Chinese. Prices are good, quality great. we will be back.

Very nice family restaurant. We have been going to Galatti's for over 20 years. In addition to going to Galatti's for dinners, when our son was in soccer and it was "pasta night" for the soccer team, we called Galatti's for catering. The high school soccer team loved the food!!

We love going to galattis!! We introduced my boyfriends parent and kids to galattis last night. Everyone enjoyed it. Food was wonderful. As often as we've been there my only comment would be that sometimes the food is excellent and others it's just good. Just not very consistent. We figure it depends on who's cooking that night. My suggestion would be to maybe have special on the weekend, something thats not on the menu...just to change it up a bit. But we love it there n well be back

Usually the food is great, however, I ordered a special they had which was steak kabobs. I ordered them based on the description of them coming with veggies and good sized steak pieces, instead I got small pieces of steak and really no veggies to speak of. I also ordered them Medium Rare and they came well done. I'll go back but I'll order what they are good at doing, pasta.
They were very busy that night yet they gave us personable service and great food.

Our first pizza, according to the waitress, was burned so they made a new one. It took 45 minutes for a thin crust pizza. Or, did the waitress forget to put in our order? Regardless, the pizza lacked sauce - I was so disappointed because the sauce would have added necessary flavor. :(

We have been going to Galati's since they opened and always enjoy the experience. While the Restaurant.com certificate was definitely a bonus, we will still continue to visit whenever we can.

The marinara sauce was too salty. This is a basic staple in italian restaurants. The calamari was great. The salads need work. Huge pieces of lettuce and tomato quarters with onion was their side salad. Staff was not able to answer simple questions without verifying with others first. Reasonable prices.
