The man taking orders was awesome. Super friendly and personable with everyone there. They were pretty busy. At least 10 people ordering and waiting.

Excellent food and service. The restaurant has decor from the 50s which is great, but it could use some updating.
King’s has a wonderful variety of meals. We had steak,baked potato, salad bar, clam chowder, tomato floratine, texas toast,an onion ring, and hush puppies.It was a great meal! We ordered off the menu, but they also have a nightly buffet. They also had fresh spots. You can’t go wrong eating at King’s.

Great variety of typical Southern fare with delicious bbq, fried chicken and seafood. There is the holiday feel with tyrkey, dressing and gravy with a new dish to me....pineapple casserole. So good, I would have put it with the desserts! SBest of all, it is a reasonably priced buffet so, yes you can try it all! Super server kept,the drinks filled, perfectly cared for during our experience.

The waitress was so energetic and friendly. She made me feel so welcome. I hope to get her the next time. Unlike other restaurants you deal with, they gladly accepted your coupon. And with a reasonable purchase of $10.

We were disappointed that there wasn't any Brunswick Stew on the buffet since they are famous for that, and usually they have it.The ice cream machine on the buffet was empty. Disappointed.
I have been dining at Kings since I was 6 years old (1951). By far, once of the best restaurants around. All the food there is excellent.
Buffet not all that big for the price.
I have been eating at Kings since I believe 1952, where I ate my first fried oysters that were great and I was 6 years old. My family would go to Kings every Sunday for as long as I can remember. In 1964 I entered the Army and when I came home in 1968 from Vietnam, Kings was the first one I went to eat. I left Kinston again in 1973, however, I would visit my mother and father every few weeks. My father passed in 1979 and my mother passed in 1993. When I visited, we always went out to Kings. After 1993, I worked in Roanoke, Va and then Waukesha, Wisconsin until 2008. When I returned to NC, I stayed in the motel across the road from Kings for 3 weeks while my home was being readied for me to move in. Needless to say, I had lunch and dinner just about every day. I then moved to La Grange and now I usually visit Kings several times a month and will purchase several items to bring home after enjoying their fantastic buffet. In my opinion, there is not better place to eat than Kings.

Everything was great, but I think a dessert should go with the meal. I also wish they would give me the amount of bbq sauce I would like for my meal. They give very little and even when I ask for extra they say I have to buy a gallon of it and I don't need that much.
The staff was very pleasant, friendly, professional and helpful. Food was hot and well prepared. I got my meal quickly also and didn't have to wait long even though there were plenty of other customers ahead of me.
