The restaurant was dimly lit, music loud and waiter spoke very quietly. We could barely hear him. The food was very good. We did however appreciate that the manager opened the door and greeted us even though we were 15 minutes early.
I always enjoy your restaurant. The atmosphere is lovely, service very good, & the food is excellent, presentation & taste wise.

We love Sapore and dine there fairly often. The food and service are always superior, but occasionally there's a table of loud people that completely ruin the atmosphere. Since it's a small place, I think it would help if they opened up the upstairs so that people could go up there if they wanted to have some peace and enjoy the ambience. Otherwise, perfect, we love it!
Food &sevice excellent but not an inexpensive date
We had dirty silverware. When replaced, dirty again.

Lets start with Fazio's bread dipped in olive oil & balsamic vinegar - so good! I had beef tips with eggplant, tomato & mozzarella that was cooked perfect as were the fresh vegetables. Tasty combination. My friend had veal tortalini in a sherry sauce that was also excellent.
Best food and service in town! Seabass, pasta, lobster ravioli, scallops, shrimp dejong, and pork chops are superb.
Nobody does it better. Best resturaunt in St. Louis!

We have eaten at Sapore a few times before, and have considered it a favorite restaurant to bring friends. However, this time was definitely disappointing: My chicken was not tender. though my companions enjoyed their food. However, it was the attitude of our waiter, Lloyd, which was unacceptable. He was arrogant, condescending. One example: after waiting, we asked for bread: he told us that the busgirl would bring it. We continued to wait, and eventually, Lloyd brought the bread. His unpleasantness did effect our experience. However, the food is good, the atmosphere pleasant, particularly outside if weather permits, and we would try Sapore again, requesting another waiter if necessary.

All the waiters are not condescending, but our waiter, though efficient, was. Excellent food. Ambience is not noisy but the next table was so loud as to interrupt our conversation.
Lloyd was our waiter and was very professional and attentive.The food was great especially the scallops.

The atmosphere was nice, with a beautiful bar and pleasant staff. Everything was very tasty! My husband had a steak and I had the sea bass special. The food was served nice and hot and tasted wonderful. Perhaps the best sea bass I have ever had. We are already planning to go back.
A week ago our party of 6 people -- having called 5 days in advance for reservations -- were told that there was no reservations on their books, it was crowded and there was no table for us. We were sent away without an apology, an offer to come back with a free dessert or something, and we left with a feeling of "I"ll never go back there again". Because we had the coupon, 3 of us did go back last night (with reservations, and another phone call to confirm before we left the house. Food and service was excellent, but wouldn't it lovely if that woman who sent us away a week ago was capable of smiling or being more than barely civil? We have more coupons, and will go back.
The server was very accommodating as far as making a slight change in the preparation that I requested.
The crab shrimp stuffed filet was wonderful!

We are very pleased with the generous wine pour and the quality of food. Waiter Joe was also very attentive.
Food was very good, but also very overpriced. Portions were small, wine was expensive, and service was mediocre.
We were celebrating our wedding anniversaryand were hoping for a good experience since we hadn't been there for a while. The waiter, Lloyd, was very good and helpful. We even got to talk with the owner. A great experience and GREAT food!!

Definitely going back! The food was DELICIOUS, seriously. Service was great. We went fairly early and glad because it got pretty busy right away. Can't wait to go back!
The food was great but the service was very slow and trying to get our waiters attention was difficult. Their where not a lot of customers.
My entre was too spicy for me; without any hesitation, they remade it without the offending spice -- it was excellent.

the meals were excellent. We each had a seafood special, my husband had the giant scallops and I had the Seabass, both with vegetables and small potatoes. The service was good. I would not say excellent. They were very busy on a Friday evening.
It took over an hour to get our dinner. We were told that they were short handed and very crowded.
Excellent Italian that is reasonably priced. Aks for Lloyd as he made the experience even better.

Wonderful food! GREAT service
We wanted to try a new restaurant with Grandma for her Mother's Day. We live in St Charles County and drove all the way to Kirkwood for Sopore, about 30 minutes. The atmosphere was great, the food was outstanding and the waitstaff was wonderful It was pouring buckets when we left and our waiter showed us the back entrance, which put us closer to the curb, keeping Grandma dry. The overal experience was perfect!
