This is the best sushi restaurant in town. Rolls are always fresh and unique.

We asked specifically for no ginger or wasabi. We got both Next to and touching all three rolls and we were not happy about that. However we like this restaurant and hope we can get over this. It is not the first time it has happened.

Best sushi in town at an affordable price. Server (Tyler) is a nice guy with full of smiles. We will definitely be back.
We liked our food. It was very fresh and tasted great. The portions were very hearty as well. All of the staff was helpful and very polite.

Multiple tables got their order before us. We asked and were told it was due to the speciality rolls we ordered. Thou other tables had that too. Then the roll came and it was wrong and the waitress told us it was correct and we were wrong even thou it was a regular order for us. Very disappointed in the experience as normally we love to come to this restaurant.
Horrible service. Thd place was only partially full but we waited 30 plus minutes for food. We didnt see a waitress for 10 minutes after being seated. Had to ask for water, silverware etc....only reason they got fair and not poor was because the food was good....

Today's service was just so so, waiter was inattentive. the floor was very slippery, even on my sneakers! the fried oysters were flavorless! The rest of the dishes (4) were good.

Our waitress was busy entertaining the table next to us, a group of people her age and that she clearly knew well. During our visit, the people at this table were distruptive, including yelling obsenities at the wait staff when they walked by, all of whom just laughed and joked around with them. Aside from inappropriate behavior, both of our dinners were wrong and we never received the salads with our Bento boxes. We had to ask for drink refills. We were there for my husband's birthday. While our waitress and other wait staff turned on a stobe light, played a very loud bithday song on the stereo system for the table of their friends next to us, they did nothing for my husband. When I asked our waitress if they do the lights and birthday song for everyone, she laughed and said, "It depends on who you are." She then walked away. With plenty of other great sushi restaurants in the area, we don't plan to return to Sushi Omakase. It used to be a great date place with great food and service, but after our experience last nigbt it felt like I was having dinner in a frat house.

The waitise was either new of just not very good didn't ofter the soy bean appretizer before the meal had to ask for napkins had to ask for more water got the sushi roll order wrong didn't know to ring up the coupon.

Awesome food and excellent service! We have several sushi places closer to home but we love Sushi Omikase, our favorites are the Redhead Roll (Hot Cheetos Roll) and the Surf and Turf (kobe beef with shrimp tempura, crab, cilantro). The food and service are most definitely worth the drive. And the wait staff is very attentive, service oriented and accommodating.
Food was bland, drink was bland. I even said so but they did nothing to remedy it.
Got there early. Fast seating but had to ask for soy sauce dishes as none on table. Perhaps they weren't all set up?

The portions were very small. I ordered the veggie bento box and there were four very thin small pieces of tofu. I would expect more from a dish that costs 14.95 and has tofu (a very inexpensive product) as the main attraction.

This place is great! Greets you when you come in the door & has outstanding sushi rolls! We love to sit at the sushi counter.

Our waiter was great & he made our first time experience wonderful. He made suggestions & gave input, depending on our likes. We ordered bento boxes & 2 specialty rolls ( which were superb). I think his name was either Brent or Brandon, but he was excellent. Our food tasted yummy. I do have one bit of advice, it would be nice if food was prepared a bit quicker. Although our food was tasty & we will definitely return, it did take a bit long to be served to us.

Food was good, but took 2.5 hrs. Waiter was too busy and forgot us repeatedly. Plus never gave us our leftovers.

A visit from the attending manager assured us a great evening.The sushi was excellent and we will definitely return.Hospitality is important for customers we like to be appreciated. Wonderful, greeted as soon as we entered with lots of energy & smiles. (did not realize we were greeted by one of the owners until later) The service was smooth on top of everything. Sushi was displayed beautifully and everything was great.

Food is fresh and we love to go when we have Matt or Justin as our servers. We have a 15 month old baby and they always give us something to entertain her while we enjoy our meal.

The food was good and the server was friendly and did his best but they took way tooooooo long to get us our food. The last couple of times we have been there that has been the case. I hope they work on getting their food out more quickly as I love the food but I don't want to spend 2 hours at a restaurant waiting for food.

Been there twice in the last month. Food was great the first time. Both visits we were ignored by our male waiter while he chatted with others in the restaurant. Had to go up to the sushi counter and retrieve the soup we ordered after it had sat there for 15 minutes. The sushi yesterday did seem as fresh as usual. I will try one more time. Hope the service is much improved.
Please add more tofu to the Miso soup....my 3 year old daughter loves it and 1 piece isn't enough!

We had a table of 5, overall a great experience. The food came out in a timely manner and the owner was even walking around doing skae samplings. Our food was very tasty, our friends said the chicken was a bit chewy. Great experience!

I've eaten here once before and thought it was great but the quality has gone down. It's okay considering its in Gilroy but next time I'm just driving to San Jose to get my sushi fix.

Our server was very busy with many tables, and felt neglected. We had to ask for everything, including the check and subsequent change. Our plates and soup were cleared before we were finished, when there was still food left to be eaten. Although not typical, the food was disappointing during this visit. I ordered a bento box, with veggie teriyaki and mixed tempura. The veggie tempura was 50/50 onions and zucchini with 3 small pieces of broccoli on the side. The onions were so overpowering it did not taste good and I only ate a few bites of it. I would never order it again. My husband also ordered the mixed tempura, however, mine arrived at least 5 minutes before his. The waiter was so quick to leave the table, we did not receive dipping sauce or dishes for soy sauce, or wasabi. We finally stopped someone who was not our waiter and asked for the dipping sauce and dishes. My husband's mixed tempura had two shrimp and 3 pieces of squash, mine only had one shrimp and 2 pieces of squash. By the time we received the dipping sauce, my tempura was cool and soggy. We won't be back on a Friday night. Clearly the business of the restaurant effected the quality and consistency of your food.
I thought the ambiance was great, quality of food was excellent as well as presentation. One minor things to mention, 2 of the dishes we were served had chips or cracks in the plates and that is an industry "no-no".
Matt and Justin are the best servers this restaurant has!! They know the menu, remember the customers are always polite and give great service!

The quality of the food/ service was very poor tonight. We waited 40 minutes before out appetizer came out. Twenty minutes later the rest of our meal came out. Dishes that were baked came out a little cold. The waitress asked us how our food was and we did let her know it was cold. She did offer an apology and stated that the kitchen was trying to get the food out all at once. She should have offered to reheat the meal.
