So sorry that the Downtown Ventura location is no longer open. But the Camarillo location (on Central) is a fine substitute!
We like it there because it's old school. However the owner/mgr whoever she is can be mean and doesn't seem to like giving the discount from restaurant.com, In fact she flat out refused it on Father's Day (even though it doesn't say not valid on holidays anywhere on it) and made a big issue over it and really embarrassed my poor daughter who is a college student and just wanted to slip that in to save a couple bucks without me knowing.
Wonderful, old style restaurant. Great service, great atmosphere, amazing food, it's like stepping back in time. Loved the ambiance and experience. We will be definitely be going back often. Perfect!

Food is good. Have some lower priced options as well as higher priced. A bit like an old 70s lounge but decent food and service.

The food is always great. The nostalgic decor is a legend but could use some repairs. The staff is attentive but the food staff is terrific.
Filet and onion soup were EXCELLENT!! We all enjoyed our meals. We will be back.

Really good spaghetti Bolognese.Really tough and fatty steak.Our bad for not sending it back but my girlfriend "Doesn't like to be a complainer".
The food and service were excellent. It was such a pleasant evening we elected to sit out on their pleasant porch. The traffic noise was extreme. In addition to cars and trucks, there were dozens and dozens of motorcycles roaring by. It may not always be this bad, but an entrance to Rte 2 is just down the road, so there is always a lot of traffic. Next time we will sit inside.

We Have visited the restaurant on numerous occasions and I have had the hot lobster roll each time. They have the best.

The food is amazing! I had the Camarones a la Diablo. The shrimp were large, plump, and tasty. It was not as spicy as I would like but served with rice and beans and a side salad with guac - delicious!
Friendly and good listening waitress. Portions were good value for the price. Reminded me of home cooking.
Our server was fantastic and the food was EXCELLENT. Chicken Limone, caesar and flourless chocolate dessert. :)
