Service was not up to the caliber of this type of restaurant. Seated us in the middle of the room when there were multiple booths and tables all around perimeter, and it was cold
My husband and I love The Majestic. My only issue with this last visit is that I was charged $4.50 for approximately 5 ounces of sparkling water with a lemon.
The server was great, the food was delicious. It's always a treat to dine at the Majestic
Great service, fantastic food. The restaurant itself looked like it was right out of an Al Capone movie set, only it wasn't a set, it was the real thing.
The atmosphere, menu, staff, drinks, and food were phenomenal. I can’t believe it took us this long to visit, but our next visit will be much sooner. The history and atmosphere is intriguing and fascinating. I wanted to order the entire menu, including the drink menu. Our waiter was attentive and I felt like we could be friends. The rest of the staff was present as well so it felt like the entire staff was working together. Drinks were top notch and I didn’t want to stop eating. I can’t wait to go back.
Steaks and pork chop were tough. Broccoli was cold. Very expensive.
Server acknowledged that we were celebrating my wife's birthday but didn't offer her a drink or dessert. Otherwise good service.

My Pork cut was ify, but the menu does lean toward BEEF. Vegetables soup and salad was great. Had a pleasant meal.
The service was stellar. Our waiter was very helpful with food allergies & a pregnant woman in our group. He also had a vast knowledge of the history of the building & restaurant.
We went to eat at the Majestic for Prime Rib, only at 5:00 PM on a Sunday night they didn’t have any. While the steak we had was very good it wasn’t what we were wanting.
The menu did not clearly identify the premium sides and their additional cost.
This restaurant is second to none in Kansas City. The food. The service. The bar choices are that of a New York Steak House. It all makes dining there a pleasure. Which is why we go out to eat.
The restaurant was packed to capacity becaue of numerous large parties. They were understaffed and overwhelmed. We had a 7:30 curtain and had 5 minutes to consume our entree. We had to have them pack it to go.
Just an overall great dining experience. Great server. Great food.
Majestic has the best steaks in KC. Their 34 day dry aged steaks are some of the best I have ever eaten. They have an easy listening jazz group Tuesday - Saturday evenings in the basement. Ask for a table down stairs as it is a great atmosphere. Our server tonight was Kathryn and she was great. We will be back soon. One of our favorite places in KC.
The food and service is always fantastic. Their burger is one of the best in KC and the steak salad was delicious!
Fabulous steak and wine, but the atmosphere makes the experience.
The food came out to us hot and faster than I thought it would; the waitstaff (Clint) was attentive without being obtrusive; the taste of the food was fantastic; the ambiance was great.
It's hard to find another filet as good as that served at The Majestic. It's been prepared perfectly on every visit. And then the bread pudding is a delicious finish for the meal.
ribeye was gristly; wife's chicken fried steak was very crisp, yet flavorless. mashed potatoes and gravy were unremarkable
Smith & Kerns up to my wife's standards I do have to report that parking is a hassle.
The best, cooked to order, weekend brunch in Kansas City. Bar none.
Wonderful experience. Delicious food and drinks, attentive bartender. Even mixed a custom cocktail, based on my previous selections.
It was a nice dinner with intimate setting. Its pretty expensive though.
Great food, service and atmosphere.
A lot of history at the Majestic and the vibes felt really good trying to imagine the regular and famous people whom dined there.
quality aged steak and wine. they know what they are doing in a town known for it
This restaurant does it right. Every time. Food: A+. Service: A+. The best weekend brunch menu in Kansas City. Second to none.
Love this place. One of our favorites. Good is excellent service also. Love listening to jazz!!
The food was wonderful, he piano player was lovely & our service was very good!
My husband and I ate here only one time before and we had a wonderful experience so we decided to come back because we were celebrating a special occasion… Nick our waiter was super attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. We definitely on top of the excellent food we ordered and by the way everything that everyone ordered was delicious, we enjoyed the excellent customer service we received. We like the atmosphere here as I believe it used to be an old jazz bar. It's a bit pricey but you definitely get what you pay for, the quality of food is outstanding and I would definitely recommend The Majestic Restaurant.
great service and jazz combo was quite enjoyable
Didnt get the table i had reserverstions for and food was over priced and under flavored
Our waiter was friendly and knowledgeable
Ted, our waiter, was first class.
Fabulous food and great music
Always enjoy the Majestic and they have some of the best Dry Aged steaks. Brandon was our server and we thought he did an excellent job.
For this to be a steak house I should not have had to send my steak back to be recooked. I ordered my steak well done no pink. I received a steak the was not well done. Also there was too much of a chard taste to the steaks.
Food was not of the best quality considering the pricing. Steak bones found in the soup. For some reason extra fat on the prime rib but completely cut off the ribeye.
Food was very tasty and server Tom was most helpful and gracious.
They have a piano player that literally pounds the keys and it's so loud it's unnerving. He quits pounding about 12:30 on Sunday and the dining experience immediately becomes enjoyable. No offense to him but the acoustics cannot handle it. People have to raise their voices just to speak across the table. It's REALLY loud.
The food was excellent and the service was great too. Steaks were cooked perfect, and the waitress was friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu items.
Service, food and music are good.
great atmosphere.
A great restaurant and jazz venue under the same roof. Old-school charm and the most impressive servers of nearly any restaurant.
Food came out hot and it was delicious. It had a nice presentation. The brown sugar muffins were so good and served while we waited for our food. It was a nice touch.
we ordered steak and found it to be tough and gristley.
The weekend brunch is second to none.
Clint is great!
We had a reservation on Thursday afternoon 2:15, but asked to be seated earlier. I was at first surprised to walk into a bar area and didn't think I was in the right place, but then we were seated in a quaint area and we had the place to our self. Husband said best birthday present every, he had his steak meal. It was really special!
What a wonderful get away - we took our friends who were celebrating their 45th wedding anniversary. They loved it too!
Service and food were very good!
Our waiter was very knowledgeable and the food was excellent. The atmosphere was enjoyable as well.
Food was nice and hot!
Celebrated birthday with husband and friends.
Our waiter Brandon was very knowledgeable of menu and wine list. Very pleasant.
Great atmosphere with live music in a historic building in downtown Kansas City.
My husband had the prime rib. IT was nicely done and he really like the horseradish sauce. He usually skips it.
We were seated in a walkway where the wait staff kept bumping into our chairs.
Rating really should be Very Good.
Good service, great food!
I had an awesome experience! The food was AMAZING. The service was great. We had to leave before there was live music but the music that was being played was nice. I will definitely be returning!
Great food, great service, great jazz band
Food and service was excellent!
Ted, our server, was superb. The food was brought on time for each course, it was hot and tasty. Everything was great.
This is a wonderful place for a great dinner. The atmosphere is real KC the blackened ribeye was mouth watering with flavor.
One of the Kansas City originals. Good Jazz & Great Food. Service was very good.
Excellent service, life music
Everything we had was wonderful. A lovely dining experience.
Our waiter, Ted, was great. The service, paired with ambiance, live music, and amazing foodade for a perfect date night.
The meals are pricey but the quality is over the top. Worth the money. I love the old time atmosphere which is genuine not just some tricked up after market decorations.
The server was very good and attentive, despite all of his tables. He was very busy but took excellent care of us.
Prime Rib Hash was fantastic. Service was grand.
What a beautiful place! Old-style bar with hand-crafted cocktails and no TV!
Great atmosphere, very friendly staff.
We went at lunch and it was really wonderful. Crab cakes were good and Fitzgerald Steak was excellent. Crème Brulee very, very good. Atmosphere great. The regular lunch fare looked very good and the restaurant was busy, but not packed. Would go again with our without the coupon.
I cannot put an amount in but we spent $87 with tip and also using our $25 certificate that we had. It was a great dining experience with live music in the Jazz Bar....
Richard was our server and he was a fabulous one. We enjoyed his conversation and the food was excellent!
service was a little slow
The servers are very knowledgeable of the menu, and give you great suggestions for ordering.
Great food, fair price.Richard, our server, was awesome!
The service was good but I ordered the mashed potatoes and the gravy tasted burnt. The steak and broccoli were great.
food was exceptional and so was the service
Beautiful historic building. Ted was the absolute best server I have ever had. Thank you!
Dinner was excellent as was the service. David H. has served us before and is always very good. We also enjoyed the jazz.
Great food and great waitress.
The service was exceptional! Our server was very attentive and didn't make any mistakes.
Both service and food were great!
It was very pricey, not what I was expecting and the food was okay but very bland with no seasonings so it definitely was not worth the price. I would have expected much more given the prices.
Excellent service, excellent food, loved the ambiance. Absolutley enjoyed the experience! Would love to visit on a weekend and try out the brunch.
The food, service and live Jazz music were all great.
I would have said excellent but, in spite of the restaurant being only half full on a Wednesday night, we were seated at a small table for two even though there were many larger tables for four open all evening.
Excellent service and knowledgeable wait staff. Great tasting entrees.
Awesome restraunt
Our waiter, Scott H. was great!
Great music, fun place, great food and service! Really enjoy it!
we go to the Quality Hill Playhouse right around the corner so dine at the Majestic once a month.
The food, service, atmosphere and music were all excellent! We even got a free dessert for celebrating our anniversary at The Majestic!
The atmosphere and food were fantastic. We had my dad and wanted to bring him to a special place and choose The Majestic. It was everything we wanted and them some. I can't decide what was better, the food, the fun, the atmosphere or the staff!!! Thanks for a memorable night.
Great historic atmosphere, music, service & food.
The Majestic provided such a wonderful atmosphere to enjoy a superb dinner with my husband before viewing a musical. We do not often eat downtown, but the Majestic will be a place that we will come back to. The food was excellant, and our server, Liam, was outstanding. He was polite and humor but not over the top, and very effecient. Great service & Great food in a wonderful atmosphere, what more could you want?
Excellent food and service-a bit high priced but it was sooo worth it.
Waiter took the initiative toa ask if we were celebrating a special occasion (it was our daughter's birthday). He was always there when we needed him without being intrusive- Perfect! Everyone loved the food. Very enjoyable evening. Daughter and son-in-law also now planning to return.
Filet Mignon ROCKS
A little pricey, but one of the best in town!
My Dad brought me to Majestic years ago and the quality is still the same.
Food and Service were both fantastic. We had not been to the Majestic in years and found it to be much better than the last time we were there. Our server and service was outstanding. We will return on a more regular basis.
The dinner is expensive enough that it has to be a special occasion. My wife and I love the breakfasts at The Majestic, so we enjoy more breakfasts than dinners at this restaurant.
Excellent food, great waiter. Enjoyed the ambiance with live piano music.
Love this Restaurant...Our Server, Scott, is the Best in KC!!
They need to offer higher gift certificate amounts on restaurant.com.
Everyone there was SO friendly! Thank you for a great experience for our special night.
Great service, our waiter Ted was very friendly and made the experience well worth it. A little pricey, but the old world charm you don't get very often anymore. I would recommend they offer the larger discount on restaurant.com currently the $25 is the largest option.
A favorite restaurant when visiting Kansas City. Love the live jazz during dinner, even on week nights. Very convenient and friendly place. Great food.
Excellent meat/fish. We always eat upstairs at the bar with Sean the best bar tender in KC then go to the jazz club downstairs.Best free venue in KC
The food and service was fantastic.
Our server, Katherine, was EXCELLENT! She did a good job of dealing with my gluten intolerance and answering any questions we had. Service is a very important part of the dining experienc. We were very pleased with the quality of the food and service, so we will be back, even though initially we thought this would be a one-time-only experience.
It's a great restaurant with fine dining and music to compliment the meal. The staff was very gracious and attentive.
Great place to eat, Scott the server was first class!!
Great service from Joe and wonderful steaks.
Our waitress was awesome!
Great food and the best bartender in KC. Always eat at upstairs bar then go to the jazz club.
My nephew is a server there and I purchased the Restaurant.com coupon because I like the restaurant, not the other way around.
My daughter and I visited from Joplin. Everything was outstanding from the service to the flavor of the food. We were extremely impressed!
We enjoyed the food and the atmosphere and hope to return in the future.
Food and service were excellent
Good experience from the time I made the reservation on the phone to the time we left. COrdial, responsive wait staff. Steaks came out newar perfect. THanks for a fun evening.
Waited 40 minutes during lunch hour for our food. Understaffed
Restaurant was very busy for a Monday night. Probably should have another waiter working....ours was busy but gave great service. Food was served hot which is rare sometimes.
Best bartender in KC. Friendly staff and great free jazz.
Every single dish was seasoned and cooked perfectly. The staff was very attentive and friendly. Couldn't ask for a better dining experience. Thank you!!
The food was excellent and so was our server- outstanding.I can't get enough of your steak soup!
Oh my! That was wonderful. I don't give perfect scores usually for there is always room for improvement. This was the best time out since I moved the Kansas. Food was wonderful, service was perfect. A little pricey but worth every penny. thank you for a very relaxing and enjoyable end to a stressful day.
Great dining experioence. We plan on returning for brunch.
Music (sans cover charge) was also a factor. We have never been disappointed at the Majestic.
If our service had been better this would have been an excellent dining experience. The food was excellent and the ambiance was wonderful. Wished we would have gotten there a little earlier so we might have enjoyed the piano more, but this was not reflected in my survey.
around the corner from the Quality Hill Playhouse so we eat there whenever we are attending a performance
Very Good.
It was lovely, but, out of our regular price range
It was great. Everyone was wonderful. The pianist was great too. Staff very friendly. Food great too! We will DEFINITELY go back Soon!
We made reservations, and it still took more than 10 mins to be seated, and more than 45 mins before they took our order, but it happens. They were busy, and we loved the food, music & atmosphere so we'll be back.
The service was fantastic!! We never had to ask for ANYTHING!!! I drinks were always full, bread basket full, service was FANTASTIC!!!
We enjoyed Rich Hill's music in the bar.
Our server Dave was what made our experience outstanding this evening. He has friendly and knowledgable. The food was great but the server was amazing!
Loved it. . .the steak and sides were better than Ruth Chris! We will be back!!!!
We loved the pace of the dinner. We were not rushed and had excellent service. Hope to come back to hear the jazz.
Great place. I hope it stays open and busy.
service was horrible from the 3 people who communicated with me. they were arrogant & stuffy workers who were inconvenienced. they charged me for aspargus after they told me I can have aspargus in place of the potato selection as I am not eating carbs. the steak was over cooked & over priced & I Will Never Step Foot in that place again
